Day Camp Counselor

Summary

The role of a Counsellor is to ensure the safety of their assigned campers and that they all are having a positive experience at camp. It is their responsibility to relay questions and concerns regarding camper satisfaction to their assigned Counselor Leader.

Responsibilities

• Organize group activities.
• Supervise their group of campers.
• Participate in group activities.
• In case of emergency, provide First Aid.
• Discipline campers if need be.
• Communicate information regarding camper satisfaction concerns to Lead Counselors.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and families is an asset.
• Great Communication, Patience and Enthusiasm Skills.
• Available to work full-time during summer (minimum 30 hours per week for 6 weeks)
• Bilingual (English required & French preferred - French might be required pending on camp location)

Schedule and Job Type

• Part-Time for Off-Season, Full-Time for On-Season

• Part-Time for trainings depending on camp worked

• Full-Time Availabilities for camp:

  • Winter Break Camp: December 27, 2023 to January 5, 2024

  • March Break Camp: March 4 - March 8, 2024

  • Summer Break Camp: June 24 - August 23, 2024
