Calibration Technician

JM Test Systems is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Onsite Calibration Technician to join our team. This role involves frequent travel to customer sites to perform calibrations, qualifications, and preventative maintenance on inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE). You’ll help ensure precision, safety, and compliance with top industry standards—all while delivering excellent customer service.

What You’ll Do:

• Travel to customer locations to perform onsite calibration and testing services.
• Calibrate and maintain electrical, mechanical, dimensional, and physical equipment.
• Follow procedures and specifications from manufacturers and clients.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct measurement issues.
• Maintain equipment, trailers, and company vehicles used in fieldwork.
• Accurately document all work performed and submit timely calibration reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and represent JM Test Systems professionally.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude—able to work confidently with tools, instruments, and measurement equipment.
• Associates degree, technical training, or military experience a plus.
• Clean driving record and ability to travel frequently (regionally and occasionally longer distances).
• Comfortable working in mobile labs, outdoor environments, and confined spaces.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs. and drive long distances.

Traveling Incentives:

• Technicians earn $2.00/hour additional pay when assigned to a project.
• Meal subsistence provided when traveling 50+ miles and away for 12+ hours.
