Introduction:


The primary responsibilities of the Business 2 Business specialist are to coordinate and maintain the activities of generating Business 2 Business sales, while building and maintaining customer relationships their market.  Promote the vision and strategy for Business 2 Business sales growth and galvanize the markets Ace locations around the concept of local stores selling more to local businesses in the community.


Responsibilities:


  • Strengthen relationships with existing business customers helping to increase their purchases.
  • Build and manage a prospect list and follow up accordingly based on foreseeable opportunity in the market and the stores long term ability to meet the business customers’ needs.
  • Conduct interviews with current and future business customers and work closely with the Central Office and Store Managers to follow up on opportunities and information requests in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Central Office to maintain current customer contact data within store systems as well as the management of new Business 2 Business account signups.
  • Create and manage the process for customer quotes and orders.  Work closely with Central Office on any customer specific pricing or discounts that need to be set up in the system.
  • Manage the sourcing of product for special orders and work closely with Central Office on placement of any outside vendor orders and work closely with Store Management on placement of any Ace warehouse orders.
  • Develops an effective and productive working relationship with management teams who will be instrumental in lead generation and promotion of Business 2 Business platform.
  • Assists in training and developing a culture in store of identifying and creating leads for potential Business 2 Business customers. Stays in constant contact with Supervisors in store to alert of any activity with new customers or upcoming potential sales, deliveries or inventory related opportunities that need attention.
  • Maintains sales and gross margin. Responsible to maintain discounts in accordance to company standards set by Central Office and Ownership.
  • Assist in management of inventory levels at business customers preferred Ace location.  Delivers product to customer based on demand of the customer.
  • Open availability for scheduling 7 days a week and flexibility to change schedule to meet the needs of the business.
  • Assists Store Managers with in store events as requested by Store Managers when additional assistance is needed for prep or execution.  Included in this will be developing any in-store Business 2 Business events that would be beneficial for the market.


  • Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for the entirety of their shift not including lunch and break periods
  • Must be able to move, handle and lift merchandise and fixture safely up to a weight of 60 pounds
  • Must have a valid drivers license, clean driving history and be at least 23 years of age.
