Benefits

Full Medical, Dental and Vision benefits after 60 days employment

o HL7N pays 100% of the insurance premium for Full-time Employees (30 hours+). 

o HL7N pays $6,000 of Employee out of pocket expenses for medical, dental and/or vision utilizing the Navia card.

$75,000 Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term disability after 90 days. HL7N pays 100% of the Life Insurance premium for Full-time Employees (30 hrs.+). 

Annually Employees receive 12 paid holidays; 20 Paid-Time-Off (PTO) days per year after the employee has been employed FTE (32 hrs.+) and achieved successful 90-days performance evaluation rating.

403(b) Thrift Savings Plan with the HL7N maximum pension contribution of 6%, completed 12 months of employment (1,000 hrs.) and successful performance evaluation rating. 

Healing Lodge employment may qualify for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program as well as loan repayment through Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)

The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations is a youth residential treatment center which provides a safe and caring healing environment for the adolescents. The wellness program is located on 51 acres in Spokane Valley WA providing a peaceful environment for treatment balanced in traditional, cultural and spiritual values and practices. About the Position

The Business Operations Manager develops, implements and monitors day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into the goals, progress and identification of obstacles in meeting key strategic plan and departmental initiatives. Provides direction and supervision over assigned business operation personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Business Operations Manager works closely with the Finance Director, performing the following responsibilities:

1. Provides operational support through proactive strategic planning, management of the Healing Lodge strategic plan and provides updates to the executive team as requested and assists in problem solving for timely identification of operation deficiencies in unmet needs.

2. Assists in ongoing strategic planning sessions on improving scalability, agility, and efficiency in current and developing projects and submits reports to the Finance Director on the timely completion of tasks within the strategic plan.

3. Maintain compliance with governing regulations, performance goals and present routine written reports on assigned business operation services to the Finance Director and Compliance Officer. 

4. Liaisons with an executive level management team to collaboratively develop operational plans activity working to achieve organization wide goals and compliance with operation policies and procedures.

5. Will maintain consistent supportive work ethic to the organizations mission statement, executive level management team and maintain fidelity with established goals and objectives to achieve the best outcome for the youth and the organization.

6. Oversees the grant writer and ensures that all necessary funding opportunities are applied for with a focus on tribal casino donation programs, running complete capital campaigns for new capital projects, and meeting identified operational needs. 

7. Develop an efficient intuitive funding resource tracking in Sharepoint for executive level management team to access.  The database shall include required reports, management functions and all other requirements of each funding entities. 

8. Act as the administrator of GrantSolution.gov or other funding entities website for processing official applications, progress reports and other data to include close out of project requirements, and answer grantor questions. Work with the grant writer, department leaders and compliance officer for all grant compliance requirements.  

9. Manage key business service operations providing oversight, leadership and guidance for efficient operation and exceptional customer service. 

10. Hold regular meetings with an appropriate formal agenda with each program to assess program needs, progress being met toward program goals and identify any needs.

11. Work collaboratively with the Finance Department on assigned business services budgets and expenditures, submits budget changes and manages tracking of Contracts and Funding Agreements.  

12. Provides presentations on the Business Operations Department services, as needed.

13. Coordinate and submit/track foundation grants.

14. Communicating and providing timelines to the Finance Director on assigned projects.

15. Other duties, as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

This is a professional level position provides guidance and leadership directly to supervised employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws to include, work schedules, positive reinforcement and time management. 

Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and improving upon skill development of employees. Works closely with subordinates in achieving best outcomes; monitors performance to achieve goals and objectives; provides performance reviews and corrective actions; and addresses complaints and resolves concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Education and/or Experience:

Master’s Degree (MA) in public administration or related field that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined.  Possess a minimum of five years of experience as a Business Operations Manager, Public Health Administration or similar position.  The agency is open to consider similar position WEX with advance business or government operations management experience. Experience in billing and/or accounting highly preferred.

Knowledge and Ability:

Advanced knowledge and skill sets to manage and operate a department that supports a diverse health care service delivery system with outreach on a national level. 

Knowledge in government and private contracts that include development, negotiations, management for effectiveness, efficiency and all compliance regulations.

Knowledge and experience with budget management, business plan development and program report creation. Report development should be at the highest level utilizing and developing great data that can be presented in a very visual and effective means.

Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity while maintaining high morale and productivity measures.

Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings

Masterful skills in strategic planning, organizational, communication, and leadership, verbal and written reports, staff training and preparation of trend analysis reports. 

Advanced working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management, healthcare software solutions, and virtual conferencing.

Knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes, CARF and Joint Commission standards is beneficial.  

Knowledge of Native American Indian Youth Inpatient Treatment Center operations, A/D addiction, Co-Occurring Disorders; highly beneficial. 

Computer Skills: 

To perform this position successfully, an individual must possess advanced proficiency in Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Teams and data management systems (business and healthcare) to include proficiency to train other staff on utilization.
