General Purpose:
The Business Office Assistant will work under the general supervision of the Administrator in the front office of a Skilled Nursing Facility. This position will work closely with the Revenue Cycle Management department to ensure accurate, timely collections of all accounts receivables of the facility. Other duties could include processing of Accounts Payable, Resident Trust, and coordination of Medicaid Pending residents.
Qualifications:
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be detail oriented and have outstanding organizational skills.
• Should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with multiple employees and various types of personalities.
• Must be have excellent computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to multi-tasking and prioritizing are a must in this ever-changing environment.
• Position requires highest levels of ethics and morals due to industry regulations and government authority.
• Must be able to work well and cooperate with fellow employees.
• Must be able to meet all local health regulations and pass the pre/post exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, background check and reference inquiry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that all cash received is deposited timely.
2. Verify insurance information of new admissions/re-admissions
3. Meeting with new admissions
4. Managed Care Authorizations (Initial/Subsequent)
5. Follow Resident trust fund procedures.
6. Software Data Entry
7. Private statement mailing
