Business Development Defense Domain Account Manager

Who We’re Seeking:
We are seeking a Business Development Professional with a deep understanding of energetics manufacturing equipment and munitions production to expand our footprint, build strategic partnerships, and drive growth in domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate will be based in the DFW area, possess relevant industry or military experience, and be comfortable traveling up to 50% to support client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
What You’ll Do: You’ll also be responsible for:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the defense, energetics, and munitions sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, defense contractors, and industrial partners.
- Lead proposal development, including technical and commercial bids, in response to RFPs and RFIs.
- Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to align solutions with customer requirements.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform strategic planning.
- Assist in negotiating contracts, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
- Support compliance with ITAR, EAR, and other regulatory requirements in all business dealings.
- Performs other job duties as assigned and deemed appropriate by management.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of business development experience in the defense, energetics, or munitions manufacturing sectors.
- 8+ years proven track record of successful project acquisition and client relationship management.
- 10+ years in munitions production line development, energetics processing, and associated safety standards.
- 5+ years working with DoD, NATO, and/or international defense organizations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within the US and internationally as required.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- Able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Additionally, You’ll Need These Technical Skills:
- Background in chemical, mechanical, or explosives engineering.
- Knowledge of systems integration for energetics processing and automated manufacturing lines.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes and defense acquisition regulations.
- Existing network within the defense industrial base.
