Andrew Morgan Consulting, LLC (AMC) seeks a Business Development (BD) Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with clients at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Defense Health Agency, NASA, and Department of Defense to understand customer needs and propose AMC's solutions that best fit their requirements. The individual must have a strong understanding of the federal procurement process and effectively communicate with clients. They must be proactive, process-driven, and action-oriented, with demonstrated success in winning prime federal contracts. The candidate must be committed to providing superior service with a positive attitude, and must be a team player.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and execute capture strategies and detailed capture plans (including call plans)
  • Assemble a capture team, managing a capture team, contacting and existing clients and partners, communicating the organizations core capabilities, and establishing internal and external teaming and managing bid and proposal funding.
  • Participate in business planning activities, to include periodic pipeline reviews, operating plan development, bid agenda development, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, win theme and discriminator workshops, and proposal reviews.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with federal agencies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in federal agencies.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company's capabilities and establish new relationships.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Oversee the proposal phase to ensure the solution matches the sales pitch and customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree + 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of the federal procurement process, including FAR regulations and acquisition strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in winning federal contracts and developing long-term relationships with federal agencies.
  • Excellent communication, writing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans and capture strategies.
  • Familiarity with federal market trends and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills to support business writing, professional correspondence, and meeting facilitation with diverse group of clients.
  • Familiarity with GWACs, IDIQS, Joint Ventures, GSA schedules and Mentor Proteges

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Defense Health Agency or other federal healthcare related agencies
  • Previous experience with technology modernization, digital services and cloud-based systems

Work Location

  • 100% Remote, with ad hoc travel for Strategy Meetings, conferences and client sites as needed.
