ELTA North America (ELTA NA) is a global leader in the design, manufacture and support of innovative electronic weapon systems, radar, fire control and vehicle protection systems for the United States government. ELTA NA is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Business Development Director – Ground Sensors.  

Location

Position will be based in Annapolis Junction Maryland or DC Metro Area

Summary

This position is responsible for business development to achieve sales targets through pursuit and capture of federal contracts in the Defense sector, with primary focus on ground vehicle, autonomous and robotic sensor systems for US DoD programs. The qualified candidate will have demonstrated success in positioning and capturing Electronic Warfare, Radar, Communications and/or other applicable Vehicle Sensor Payloads.  Additionally, this position will serve as the Capture Lead for all applicable ground-based US DoD pursuits.  This position reports directly to the Vice President, Business Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·       Develop and lead pursuit and capture strategies.

·       Coordinate customer meetings, presentations, and responses to RFI/RFP/and RFQs, and other activities.

·       Support and at times, lead proposal efforts that align with the strategic plan of ELTA North America

·       Responsible for the customer relationship - Act as the ”customer voice” to communicate customer needs and market conditions to the rest of the ELTA North America team

·       Assist in IRAD process as well as field tests and military sponsored exercises.

·       The ability to work cohesively as a member of the business development team but also work independently with minimal supervision.

·       Identify and establish important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders within DOD and the major primes.

·       Analyze and provide summary of US DoD Budgets, ELTA North America competition, partnerships and applicable technologies within the assigned market.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree required in a technical or relevant discipline.

·       8+ years in aerospace/defense industry, with background in engineering, program management, business development, capture management, and/or similar disciplines, with exhibited progression

·       Proven background of sales within the DOD government space, and proof of individual business wins of greater than $5M in the Defense sector within the past 3 years

·       The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of US Government acquisition process; including contracting, contract types and procurement processes.

·       Demonstrated communications skills.

·       Demonstrated application of the business development lifecycle process

·       Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

·       Proposal writing experience, International Partnerships and ITAR experience is a plus

·       Travel: [up to 50%]
