Branch Supervisor - Pacific North West

overseeing the day-to-day operations, which include, but are not limited to, customer
experience, cash controls, efficient new account management, be adept with the
bank’s retail solutions, support branch manager with operational activities and
other tasks to help the Bank achieve its mission, goals and objectives. The
Branch Supervisor works in close partnership with the Branch Manager and the
Branch Operations Manager to ensure the overall quality, compliance, and
operational soundness of the branch. This role plays a key part in upholding
regulatory standards and organizational policies, while also supporting branch
efficiency and fostering a growth-oriented mindset among the team.
*This role is only open to candidates currently residing within a 25 miles radius from Marysville, WA.
Responsibilities- Responsible for overseeing the new account onboarding procedures that are implemented efficiently at the branch level
- Implement procedures for effective handling of transactions and ensure that the staff adheres to procedures.
- Consults with other managers/staff to develop effective ways to meet customers’ needs, appropriate methods to be used for resolution of an error, and to initiate and implement process changes.
- Oversees workflow to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Ensures new employees are properly trained with emphasis on productivity, quality, and motivation.
- Provides regular coaching and one-on-ones to help support employees’ development.
- Works with Branch Operations Manager to identify and implement system processing improvements; reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient.
- Assists in the management of vendor relationships.
- Assists in the resolution of customer service issues.
- Assist management with Branch Security protocols as assigned.
- Prepares weekly volume reports for management.
- Coordinates system support for computer applications.
- Analyzes volume and establishes productivity guidelines.
- Perform cash audit reviews as needed.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of the surrounding communities and banking industry.
- Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
- Work to build lasting business relationships across target markets in the branch neighborhood.
- Directly supervises up to 2 employees within the department(s).
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include assisting the Branch Manager with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent job experience in lieu of.
- Two to four years related experience or equivalent.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Basic competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks.
- Ability to proactively work with all levels of management.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Proficient on Microsoft Office, Jack Henry Software.
- Proven leadership and business acumen skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
