Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to oversee the day-to-day financial
operations of our modular home manufacturing plant. This salaried position includes general
bookkeeping, AR/AP, payroll coordination, and financial exporting. The ideal candidate is
proficient in QuickBooks, comfortable with both transactional and high-level accounting tasks,
and capable of supporting executive leadership with clear, timely financial insight.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting Oversight
Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts
Handle journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close
Ensure all financial data is accurate, organized, and audit-ready
Track job costing and support production-related financial documentation
Accounts Payable (AP)
Enter and process vendor invoices with appropriate coding
Ensure timely payments and manage vendor relationships
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Generate and issue customer invoices
Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding balances
Maintain up-to-date aging reports and communicate with clients as needed
Payroll Coordination
Compile and submit employee and contractor time data to payroll processor
Track PTO, bonuses, and pay adjustments
Assist with payroll-related compliance reporting and audits
Financial Reporting & Budgeting
Prepare and present monthly financial reports: P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Work with external CPA on tax preparation and annual financial statements
Provide leadership with actionable financial insights
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or controller-level accounting experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) required
Strong understanding of GAAP, job costing, and cash flow management
Experience in manufacturing or construction environments preferred
