Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Greenwood, South Carolina

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)


Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to oversee the day-to-day financial

operations of our modular home manufacturing plant. This salaried position includes general

bookkeeping, AR/AP, payroll coordination, and financial exporting. The ideal candidate is

proficient in QuickBooks, comfortable with both transactional and high-level accounting tasks,

and capable of supporting executive leadership with clear, timely financial insight.


Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting Oversight

 Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts

 Handle journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close

 Ensure all financial data is accurate, organized, and audit-ready

 Track job costing and support production-related financial documentation

Accounts Payable (AP)

 Enter and process vendor invoices with appropriate coding

 Ensure timely payments and manage vendor relationships

 Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies

Accounts Receivable (AR)

 Generate and issue customer invoices

 Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding balances

 Maintain up-to-date aging reports and communicate with clients as needed

Payroll Coordination

 Compile and submit employee and contractor time data to payroll processor

 Track PTO, bonuses, and pay adjustments

 Assist with payroll-related compliance reporting and audits


Financial Reporting & Budgeting

 Prepare and present monthly financial reports: P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow

 Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

 Work with external CPA on tax preparation and annual financial statements

 Provide leadership with actionable financial insights


Qualifications

 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

 Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or controller-level accounting experience

 Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) required

 Strong understanding of GAAP, job costing, and cash flow management

 Experience in manufacturing or construction environments preferred
