JOB DUTIES, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (MONTH/YEARS EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, SPECIAL LICENCSE, ETC): 

SUMMARY:  

Professional Experience 

• Preferably 6 month’s experience food and barista service 

Essential Functions 

• Be flexible and willing to perform other tasks as necessary or requested 

• Wear hotel uniform in compliance with hotel standards; adhere to professional grooming standards 

• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner 

• Ensure knowledge of menu, promotions, and specials 

• Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system 

• Preparing food, grinding coffee beans, brewing tea and coffee, and serving items to customers 

• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the service 

• Learning new brew methods, beverage blends, food preparations, and presentation techniques to improve food quality. 

• Updating signage and displays to attract customers. 

• Taking inventory and replenishing items as needed. 

• Ensure serving station is well-stocked & clean, at all times 

• Perform other tasks as necessary or required to meet or exceed guest satisfaction  

• Be flexible and willing to perform other tasks as necessary or requested 

Job Requirements: 

• Must have excellent customer service skills and a stable work history  

• Must be able to work entire shift on feet at a quick pace  

• Must be flexible to work any shift as needed to include weekends  

• Knowledge of basic drink recipes  

• Knowledge of barista equipment  

• Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment  

• Ability to lift 50 lbs  

• Ability to work in a high pace and hot environment  

• Stand and walk for long periods of time

• Emotionally competent; able to effectively manage disruptive emotions and impulses; able to stay composed, positive, and unflappable even in trying moments while thinking clearly and remaining focused under pressure 

• Ability to anticipate guests’ needs 

• Embraces and respects diversity and multicultural environment 

Education 

• Background screening for previous criminal history 

• At least high school diploma or G.E.D. 

Computer Experience 

• Experience with point of sale system
