POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Billing Supervisor oversees the entire billing process for a company, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, managing a team of billing clerks, and improving financial reporting. They also handle client inquiries, resolve payment issues, and ensure compliance with regulations

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review medical records, including patient notes, test results, and transcriptions
  • Provide guidance and support. 

 

  • Oversee all aspects of the billing process, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and payments. 

 

  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of billing practices, including adherence to regulations and internal policies. 

 

  •  Communicate with clients to address inquiries and resolve billing issues. 

 

  • Identify and implement improvements to billing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 

 

  • Maintain accurate records of billing activities and transactions. 

 

  • Develop and prepare reports and analyze data to track billing performance. 

 

  • Motivate and lead a team of billing staff to achieve performance goals. 

 

  • Work with other departments, such as accounts receivable and credit/collections, to ensure accurate billing. 

 

  • Manage and ensure compliance with company policies, and state and federal regulatory bodies. 

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

·       Must have 2 or more years of Medical billing experience
