Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing & Medical Authorizations Specialist to join our Finance & Medical Authorizations team. This role ensures accurate billing, timely insurance authorizations, and compliance with payor requirements to safeguard revenue and maintain uninterrupted client care.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage client accounts, including insurance-based and private pay.
· Prepare and submit invoices, billing statements, and financial reports.
· Initiate and track medical authorizations for nursing, therapy, and home health services.
· Conduct billing audits and ensure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, DOL, and private insurers.
· Maintain strong relationships with payor sources and assist in expanding referral connections.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely documentation and coverage continuity.
Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma required; Associate degree or certification in Health Administration, Billing, or Medical Office preferred.
· Experience: Minimum 2 years in medical billing, authorizations, or healthcare finance.
· Familiarity with DOL, Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, or home health billing preferred.
· Proficiency in EMR systems, billing software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
