Are you detail-oriented, driven, and passionate about making a difference? We’re looking for a Biller to join our dedicated team at a New Day Recovery Center: Senath—a safe and supportive environment for individuals on their journey to lasting recovery. As a Biller, you'll play a vital behind-the-scenes role, ensuring the financial heartbeat of our program stays strong so our members can focus on healing and rebuilding their lives.
What You’ll Do:
As our Biller, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things billing and reimbursement. You’ll:
- Accurately prepare and submit claims to insurance providers, Medicaid, and other payers.
- Verify insurance coverage and secure pre-authorizations as needed.
- Track payments, follow up on unpaid claims, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Collaborate closely with intake staff, case managers, and administrators to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Maintain organized, confidential records and generate regular financial reports.
- Respond to inquiries with empathy, professionalism, and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid, and Missouri regulatory guidelines.
- Stay ahead of the curve on billing codes, payer rules, and best practices in behavioral health billing.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Healthcare Administration a plus.
- Experience: 1–2 years of billing experience, preferably in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or healthcare.
- Skills:
o Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
o Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare and private insurance billing procedures.
o Strong attention to detail and time management.
o Clear communicator with a collaborative spirit and positive attitude.
o Familiarity with Missouri Medicaid and EHR systems.
o Experience working in a recovery or residential treatment setting (preferred).
