Behavior Consultant

 We are looking for a Behavior Consultant to join our Team! This is a full-time, salaried position.

Our Behavior Consultant will be responsible for providing clinical direction of services to a child, youth or young adult; development and revision of the Functional Behavioral Assessment and Individualized Treatment Plan; oversight of the implementation of the Individualized Treatment Plan and consultation with a child's, youth's or young adult's treatment team regarding the Individualized Treatment Plan.

Responsibilities:

1.     Development and Revision of Functional Behavioral Assessment and Individualized Treatment Plans

 2.     Oversight of the Implementation of the Individualized Treatment Plan by Behavioral Health Technician staff

 3.     Documentation of client's response to treatment

     a)     document client's response to his/her treatment

      b)     completed notes in an accurate and timely manner

      c)     communicate with parents regarding the client's progress in treatment

 4.     Complete all assigned trainings by the due date to stay current with all practices and guidelines

      a)     complete at least 16 hours of Department-approved training annually that is related to the individual's specific job functions and is in accordance with the individual training plan

 5.     Attend weekly individual and group supervisions as directed

     a)     One hour of face-to-face supervision per month

      b)     One additional hour of face-to-face supervision per month if supervising a BHT.

      c)     Thirty minutes of direct observation of services being provided every 6 months

 6.     Conduct weekly/monthly supervision of staff providing Behavioral Health Technician services as directed

 7.     Maintain regular communication with clients, families, school personnel and treatment teams through home visits, school visits, and community interactions in the implementation of IBH services

Qualifications and Requirements:

A valid Behavior Specialist License in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

A graduate degree from a college or university accredited by an agency    

A Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in the mental health field with children, preferably in the behavioral field

A strong understanding of evidence-based interventions and best practices in behavioral health

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and collaborate with various disciplines

Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and continued professional development
