The role of the Barista is to service the guests by taking their order, ringing in their checks, and collecting payment. This role is also be responsible for putting together the guests’ orders.

Responsibilities:

Promote and portray the VIVÂMEE Values.

Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.

Greets all guests politely when they enter the restaurant.

Records guest orders, both at the counter.

Transfers orders to the kitchen to ensure their preparation.

Monitors orders and ensures their prompt delivery.

Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards.

Helps package food in boxes and bags.

Helps cook food and otherwise works in the kitchen, when necessary.

Up-sells in-store promotions, when applicable.

Listens to and resolves guest complaints, suggestions, and inquiries.

Keeps the counter and dining area neat and clean.

Sweeps and mops the floor regularly.

Restocks napkins, straws, lids, and other supplies in the dining area.

Tallies orders served and amount of cash received.

Handles bank transactions for the restaurant.

Inventories supplies and goods with supervising manager, when necessary.

Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures.

Keeps track of a cash drawer and ensures it is balanced at the end of the shift.

Requirements

Retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience preferred

Ability to read and speak English proficiently

Strong ability to multi-task

Basic mathematical skills

Ability to problem solve quickly

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to follow directions

Full Availability with work hours/schedule as per department needs -4 shifts a week

Monday through Friday 7 AM -4 PM availability a must

Holidays and weekends
