Barback

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Tasting Room Manager and Assistant Tasting Room Manager, the primary function of the Barback is to assist Tasting Room team the day-to-day operation of the Tasting Room and guest experience at Doffo Winery. The Barback helps carry out the company mission to create guests for life by creating a rich and lasting experience. Overall responsibilities to assist Tasting Room Servers and management to set up and break down bars, including cleaning, stocking, and facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

·         Set the tone for the Tasting Room by exemplify Doffo Winery core values and ensure you adhered to them during your workday.

·         Stock wines, ice, wine club membership applications, and collect, wash, polish glasses and distribute to the various tasting bars on property.

·         Clean bar, counters, shelves, equipment, and furniture.

·         Assist team in bussing tables and general cleaning, including, when necessary, restrooms.

·         Stock wine, as needed.

·         Conduct shuttle driver and parking attendant duties, when necessary.

·         Participate in opening and closing duties, following task list provided by Tasting Room management.

·         Ensures all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.

·         Create a friendly, warm, and clean Tasting Room and patio environment.

·         Be hospitable, welcoming, and exhibit a cheerful outlook and willingness to assist when necessary.

Education/Experience/Abilities

·         Must be at least 18 years of age.

·         Minimum of 1 year of relevant Barback experience in a winery, restaurant, or quick food outlet.

·         Possess a service-oriented mentality, with desire to provide an exceptional experience to the guest and co-workers.

·         Detail-oriented and a mantra to expect the best in yourself and others.

·         Able to work under pressure, set priorities and accomplish a wide variety of tasks.

·         Enthusiastic team player outlook and "can do" mindset.

·         Able to stand on your feet for majority of the day.

·         Able to lift and routinely carry items of up to 25 lbs.

·         Maintain a professional personal presentation.

·         Be highly initiative-taking, independent, and able to take direction from management.

·         Embrace a commitment to excellence and high standards.
