Barback

Basic Function:  Assists the bartender by performing the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential skills.  An * after the responsibilities below denotes an essential skill. 

●       Follows and promotes Nolan’s Way. *

●       Assists bartender with all set up duties including but not limited to the following:  turning on televisions, making juice, cutting fruit, stocking wine, beer and liquor as well as bartending functions including cleaning, scrubbing mats, mixing alcoholic beverages if over the age of 18 and getting drinks for the bartender. *

●       Stocks refrigerated units with wine and bottled beer and rotates stock by putting the new inventory in back.

●       Maintains a clean bar at all times by wiping the bar regularly, disposing of debris and bottles, filling ice bins and washing glasses behind the bar as needed. *

●       Helps with closing functions including turning off televisions, assists in dishwashing and restocks beer, wine and liquor.

●       Assists in the maintenance of equipment including cleaning of beverage machines, floor mats and beverage coolers.

●       Aids bartenders in serving food to customers and bussing tables for dining customers.

●       Supports bartenders with takeout orders.

●       Assists with opening bottles, changing kegs and bussing bar areas.

●       Moves and organizes products to storage areas, beverage bars or kitchen when directed by a bartender. *

●       Supports the organization and cleanliness of liquor rooms and beer coolers as well as keeps these rooms secure at all times.
