We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable person to join our Operations and Banquet team.
Job Summary
The Banquet and Facilities Support person is responsible for ensuring that all event spaces, guest areas, restrooms, and back areas are clean, safe, and properly set for daily operations and scheduled banquets. This role is essential to the guest experience and plays a major part in creating a clean and welcoming environment.
Although this is a back of house position, strong hospitality and professionalism are expected at all times, as interactions with guests may occur.
Responsibilities
Banquet Setup
- Set rooms according to event requirements and manager directions
- Move and arrange tables, chairs, linens, and event equipment
- Ensure ballrooms and event spaces are clean, organized, and guest ready
Cleaning and Facility Care
- Maintain spotless guest restrooms and common areas
- Clean public spaces, hallways, stairwells, and storage areas
- Remove trash and recycling throughout the building
- Assist with general grounds maintenance around exterior entrances
Operational Support
- Report maintenance or safety issues to management
- Follow proper cleaning and chemical safety procedures
- Support other departments when needed
Hospitality and Teamwork
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior
- Help guests if approached with questions or simple requests
- Work closely with the Banquet and Operations team to support daily needs
Qualifications
- Experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality preferred
- Minimum one year of related experience is helpful but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
