Job Summary

The bakery supervisor is the person who runs a team of bakers in the production of baked goods in the bakery department of all stores. The supervisor must ensure that our products and prepared foods are prepared of high quality, that the procedures and rules of the company are followed, at the same time our customers are satisfied with the product and that the company profits.

Primary Responsibilities, and Duties

  • The bakery supervisor supports the department leader and is responsible for the training and development of the bakery staff.
  • Achieve sales and objectives of the department (labor, cost of goods and supplies).
  • Perform the control of waste and losses.
  • Perform the registration, control, and supervision of personnel.
  • Supervise everything related to the products in terms of transfer, rotation and good marking, utensils control.
  • Ensure that all products are prepared to the correct specifications, including quality, price, performance, packaging, and marketing.
  • Manage performance evaluations of the bakery team and know how to identify potential for future opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Make reports, schedules, inventories, deep cleaning, among other tasks as necessary.
  • Responsible for answering questions and solving problems in the bakery department.
  • Train team members to perform all job functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 5 - 7 years of related experience
  • Bilingual Spanish/English
