About Working on a “Floatel”
LandSea will be providing workforce catering and accommodation services for guests onboard the MV Isabelle, a 650-passenger “Floatel”. The Floatel will be permanently docked in Squamish, B.C., and is estimated to operate for up to three years.
Our client Bridgemans is a global provider of workforce floatels and marine services. Their vessel, the MV Isabelle, will be arriving in Canada in early 2024.
All crew members onboard the MV Isabelle must have the minimum marine safety (Seafarers) certifications required by Transport Canada for the specific job.
At work, the crew is provided with accommodation, full meals, and WIFI, and can access health/gym facilities they can access when off work. We provide partial uniforms and help with the travel/reservations as needed to and from locations. Excellent Health and Wellness benefits are offered after three months.
About the Opportunity
We have one opening for a Baker.
The Baker is responsible for preparing baked goods, such as pastries, pies, cookies, squares, cakes, and other bakery items.
The Baker reports to the Chef or Relief Chef and is responsible for preparing dough, mixing batters, creating new recipes or closely following existing ones, receiving special orders from guests, adhering to all food quality standards and workplace safety protocols, and ensuring timely completion of baked products.
