Bagger PT

General Purpose: The Bagger is the last person a customer sees when leaving the store and is vital to the commitment to excellent customer service that Langenstein’s has.  

Work Schedule:  Up to 28+ hours per week, weekend work required.  Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities & Duties:  

• Customer Service  

• Help maintain cleanliness and stocking of Front End, supplies, and store parking lot areas  

• Bag customers purchases  

• Sort and return return-to-stock items back to their shelf locations with priority given to refrigerated and perishable items  

• Perform price check functions  

• Retrieve items for customers from areas customers cannot enter   

• Act as runner to get items needed from around the store  

• Assist loading groceries for customers  

• Clean up any spills or messes on the floor of the store  

• Ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained in the immediate area as well as in the parking lots  

• Be observant of security problems and develop methods of prevention  

• Understand & practice store safety rules and notifying a Store Manager of any potential hazard immediately  

• Communicate with the Front-End Manager on problems and recommendations  

• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Front-End Manager when asked 

Required Education / Experience:  

• Education and work history demonstrating stability 

• 1+ years of bakery experience  

• Ability to effectively communicate  

• Outgoing/happy personality 

Physical Demands: 

• Work on tile or concrete standing for extended periods of time 

• Lift a maximum of 50 lbs. from 6 inches to 84 inches, overhead
