Role and responsibilities: The Sales Manager is tasked with driving sales growth and brand development for Aurora Peat Products in the U.S., spending at least half the time engaging growers in person, coordinating with business development, managing marketing promotions, supporting new product launches, and overseeing trade show activities. They also analyze market trends and sales data to optimize brand strategy.

Qualifications and skills: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and agricultural experience in growing media, preferably peat, possess a hunting sales mentality with enthusiasm for cold calling, be highly organized, financially savvy regarding brand management, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Close collaboration with clients and plant management is essential. 

SUMMARY: This role is responsible for the sales & continued brand development of Aurora Peat Products brands in the U.S. Market.  This individual is responsible for finding new opportunities and revitalizing existing accounts in the Agricultural Growing and Soil Blending Business.    

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·    Build and maintain strong relationships with new, existing & lapsed customers of Aurora Peat Products (APP) leveraging a “Hunter” mentality and skill set, spending minimum 50% of time in-person engaging growers.

·       Stay up-to-date with peat industry trends, product knowledge and competitors’ offerings and regularly communicate this information to management/BD

·         Coordinates with Business Development department to develop brand objectives, implement annual plans, and track results.

·         Is aligned with other sales personnel engaged in selling APP brand.  

·         Executes new product launches and provides sales forecasts.

·         Gathers/organizes detailed sales data on a weekly/monthly/annual basis.

·         Manages trade show activities and participation on behalf of APP, prepares post event reporting.

·         Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor's degree (B.A.) &/or extensive Agricultural experience selling Growing Media…ideally Peat. 

·         Highly organized and works with sense of urgency.

·         Enjoys cold calling and possesses a HUNTING mentality.

·         Has strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Enjoys and is highly effective in selling and finding new avenues/solutions to enhance revenue and profits.

·         Can work closely with clients and the plant management team directly to ensure operational understanding and winning solutions for all parties.

·         Understands capabilities of APP Manufacturing facility.
