Audio Engineer
JOB SUMMARY
This position exists to support the ministries of CBC by providing excellent audio experiences in gatherings and events, equipping and empowering volunteers to share in that work, developing a rounded production competency by cross-training in the other disciplines (lighting/video), and leveraging technology to help others see and experience God more clearly.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Steward the live audio experience for weekend and mid-week gatherings and events
· Operate audio mixing consoles that span a wide gamut of size, function, and infrastructure (Avid S6L, Midas Pro 6, Yamaha DM7, Midas M32)
· Demonstrate high knowledge of complex signal flows across multiple venues throughout our campus
· Serve the ministries and leadership of our house with a positive and collaborative mindset, exercising high honor in every interaction
· Assist marketing and creative teams with creating professional audio for content created for gatherings and events
· Maintain a steady rhythm of professional development as the production technology landscape evolves
· Adapt to fast-paced environments with excellence—not perfection—as the ultimate goal
· Live mixing: navigate dense processing to translate clarity and musicality to the audio experience
· Ear training: discern and identify frequencies with advanced precision; creatively employ industry- standard practices to translate the vision for our gatherings to our congregation
· Technical literacy: demonstrate high knowledge of hardware and software pertinent to audio production (audio consoles, DAWs, microphones, signal processors); occasionally perform minor equipment repairs
· Composure: exercise equanimity in high pressure environments and when troubleshooting issues
· Flexibility/High Capacity: ability to adapt to changing tasks with reasonable efficiency; perform multiple projects at once
· Other duties as assigned

· Possess strong communication skills in the English language (verbal and written)

· Knowledge of audio, video, and lighting systems
· Must possess intermediate computer skills using applications such as Ableton, ProPresenter, PVP

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of operation are scheduled any time Saturday -Wednesday. Working weekends and evenings will be required as job duties demand.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following:
· Must have good or corrected vision as well as effective peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
· Must have good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motion of the hands and arms
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs; able to sit/stand for extended times
· Must be able to frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
· Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Highschool Diploma or GED (required)
· 5 years of production staff leadership preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duties are performed in an office setting where the work and general environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee can effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple projects in service-oriented environment. Environmental noise levels are minimal.
