Job Overview:

 We are seeking an experienced and ambitious person who is ready to take the next step in their career towards management in becoming an Assistant Project Manager in the field of asset management and data collection. In this role, you will work closely with our project management team, gaining valuable experience and exposure to client interactions while actively contributing to project success. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong aptitude for project management, exceptional responsiveness to client needs, and a desire to develop leadership skills.

 Responsibilities:

1.     Collaborate with senior project managers to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects from inception to completion.

2.     Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.

3.     Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to client specifications and organizational standards.

4.     Proactively identify and address potential project risks or issues, working with senior management to implement effective mitigation strategies.

5.     Provide regular updates to clients on project progress, address inquiries or concerns promptly, and solicit feedback to ensure client satisfaction.

6.     Coordinate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources, track project milestones, and monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).

7.     Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

8.     Take ownership of assigned project tasks and deliverables, demonstrating accountability and attention to detail throughout the project lifecycle.

9.     Participate in internal meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance project management skills and expand knowledge of industry best practices.

10.  Prepare and present project status reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements:

1.     Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

2.     Minimum 3 years of experience in a project management role, asset tagging and data collection, with a focus on client interaction and support.

3.     Knowledge of building mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).

4.     Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.

5.     Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

6.     Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

7.     Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

8.     Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client needs while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

9.     Ambitious mindset with a desire to advance into a project management leadership role.

Physical Demands: 

1.     Stand or walk for most of an 8-hour workday and up to 3 to 4 continuous hours at one time.

2.     Climb steps.

3.     Climb ladders to get onto roofs.

4.     Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to read equipment data plates.

5.     Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
