Assistant Pastry Chef
Chesapeake Bay Beach Club is seeking a passionate Assistant Pastry Chef to join our team! The ideal candidate will be able to perform a variety of baking duties and assist with the preparation of breads, rolls, muffins, pastries, pies, cakes etc... This is a part-time variable position. Responsibilities
- Prepare pastry items including icings and frosting according to established recipes.
- Spread or sprinkle a range of various toppings on specialty baked items.
- Shape dough for cookies, pies, and fancy pasties either by hand or by using dough rollers and cookies cutters.
- Receive ingredients and other supplies from main kitchen and/or pantry as required for daily operations.
- Cut and weigh dough into uniform portions with knife or divider.
- Mold dough into loaves or other shapes and place in pans, proofs dough, and bake in oven.
- Inspect products for quality and after baking makes adjustments to processes required.
- Clean and maintain work areas, utensils and equipment.
- Detect and ensure disposition of spoiled and unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment and/or other unusual conditions.
- Complete production sheets and other records as required.
- Bake products required for special diets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirement
- Entry level or experienced.
- Basic culinary skills.
- Customer/client focus.
- Flexibility.
Compensation
- Starting at $15.00 an hour, based on experience.
