Assistant Manager- Retail, Guest Services and Arcade
The Assistant Manager – Retail, Guest Services & Arcade assists the day-to-day operations of Splash Lagoon's Retail, Guest Service and Arcade departments. It is the responsibility of this person to ensure guest quality experience and adhere to the highest quality and service standards. This individual will provide inspirational leadership and direction to all associates, and is responsible for developing a dynamic high-performance team. The Assistant Guest Services/Retail Manager will also provide timely resolution of guest issues and concerns, and will also be in charge of the Department POS system management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES which may include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
· Must be able to perform the duties of a Front Desk Attendant, Cash Control Attendant, Parties/Activities Attendant, Arcade Attendant, Sales Coordinator, and Retail Cashier.
· Supervise daily labor of guest services staff including parties/activities, front desk associates, arcade associates, and retail associates; including making sure that all checklists are complete.
· Assist in the coordination and execution of entertainment and special events.
· Provide mentoring and direction to staff to facilitate growth and develop talent for success.
· Complete the weekly schedule for retail staff, ensure the labor goals are met.
· Speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with service as well as respond to complaints.
· Maintain contact with staff, management, and guests to ensure that customers concerns are addressed.
· Inform patrons of establishment amenities and features.
· Operate POS system.
· Assist staff members to increase guest satisfactions whenever necessary.
· Book Splash birthday parties, arcade parties, and other events.
· Other tasks as assigned including but not limited to; Thank you letters, filing, final count calls, mailing contracts and making packets, returning voice mails.
· Must be able to operate a personal computer and related software systems.
· Must have a diplomatic demeanor and maintain an unbiased view of guest relations.
· Coordinate and implement policies and procedures that are consistent with publicized information.
· Communicate policy changes to staff members.
· Ensuring all guest services staff follow Splash Lagoon Policies and Procedures.
· Interviews, selects, hires, trains, schedules and manages hourly retail staff.
· Merchandises the selling floor to maximize sales per square foot.
· Sells merchandise and encourages suggestive and multiple selling.
· Conducts periodic merchandise inventory counts and reconciliation.
· Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level; Sets pars.
· Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive great service and quality goods
· Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers.
· Keep records of purchases, sales, and requisitions.
· Enforce safety, health, and security rules.
· Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage to assess the condition of each product or item.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Assistant Manager - Guest Services, Retail Manager & Arcade is responsible for maintaining an environment that is both safe and offers a high level of customer service (Aloha Spirit).
- The Assistant Manager - Guest Services, Retail Manager & Arcade will administer office work, including, but not limited to, invoices, bills, purchase orders, merchandise and inventory paperwork.
- The Assistant Manager - Guest Services, Retail Manager & Arcade performs other tasks and/or related duties as assigned or required by Director of Operations/General Manager when necessary.
- The Assistant Manager - Guest Services, Retail Manager & Arcade is to wear approved uniform and any necessary job-related safety equipment during assigned shift or anytime while on duty.
- The Assistant Manager - Guest Services, Retail Manager & Arcade may be subject to both pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screening during tenure of employment.
- The Assistant Manager - Guest Services, Retail Manager & Arcade will maintain an inventory-tracking system for all departments under him/her.
- Required to work Manager on Duty shifts
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· HS diploma/GED
· Prefer some college coursework in business, finance or management area.
· Minimum three years of leadership experience; prefer some purchasing experience.

· Must be available to work nights, weekend and holidays.
