Pay Range:
Hourly: minimum $23 to maximum $26 per hour
Final pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
Purpose
The Assistant Manager works alongside the General Manager to drive operational excellence while serving as a positive and purpose-driven leader within the store. As an important step toward becoming a General Manager, this role upholds high standards of cleanliness, product excellence, and guest satisfaction while proactively supporting daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, and training and developing team members for long-term success.

• In collaboration with the General Manager, monitor and control labor costs through effective labor scheduling, cross-training, and team member retention initiatives.
• Execute opening/closing procedures in accordance with company standards, including cash handling and security protocols, and coordinate team responsibilities for setup, food preparation, and cleaning.
• Manage inventory processes, including conducting counts, receiving and verifying deliveries, and maintaining accurate inventory records within the system.
• Execute monthly inventory audits to report variances, usage and inventory on hand.
• Ensure absolute guest service and product quality that meet company goals and standards.
• Maintain store cleanliness according to GGY and health/food safety standards. Ensure adherence to safety practices and excellent quality, service, and cleanliness standards are being followed.
• Lead shift operations by directing and prioritizing team members' tasks during shifts. Adjusting staffing levels on sales volume, supporting workstations as needed, and monitoring food production to reduce waste and ensure freshness.
• Actively seek and respond to guest feedback and address any comments or concerns they may have. Ensure that all feedback is communicated promptly to the restaurant management team for swift resolution and continuous improvement.
• Performs other duties assigned by management to support store operations.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of food/beverage, or retail supervisory experience preferred.
• This full-time role requires availability for a five-day workweek.
• Must have a flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Hospitality, Restaurant Management, or related field preferred but not required.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of guest service standards and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage shift operations, delegate tasks, and prioritize effectively.
• Experience with labor scheduling, inventory management, and cost control practices.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations (ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
