Job Description: The Assistant Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the dining room operations in a senior living community, ensuring that meals are served in a timely and efficient manner, and maintaining a high level of customer service. The supervisor will manage a team of servers, ensure that the dining area is clean and organized, and monitor inventory levels.

Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise dining room staff, ensuring that they are trained and adhere to policies and procedures

Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, ensuring that orders are placed in a timely manner

Ensure that the dining room is clean and organized, and that tables are set up properly

Ensure that meals are served on time, and that food is of high quality

Greet residents and guests, and ensure that they have an enjoyable dining experience

Monitor resident satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints in a timely manner

Collaborate with the culinary team to create menus and special events

Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the maintenance team

Maintain a safe and healthy environment by following sanitation and safety procedures

Attend meetings and trainings as required

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a dining room or restaurant setting

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

ServSafe certification preferred
