Summary
The Assistant Field Manager/Safety Representative is responsible for supporting the Field Manager in overseeing flooring installation projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage teams in the field effectively. The Assistant Field Manager will assist in coordinating the installation process, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all safety and compliance standards are followed.
Essential functions
- Assist in overseeing multiple flooring installation projects, ensuring all project timelines are met, and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Help supervise installation crews, ensuring that they have the necessary resources, tools, and instructions to complete their tasks efficiently.
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure the quality of flooring installations meets company standards. Address any issues or discrepancies immediately.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers during installations, ensuring that their expectations are met and providing excellent customer service.
- Help manage flooring materials and tools needed for projects, ensuring adequate stock and preventing delays due to material shortages.
- Ensure all on-site work follows safety protocols and complies with industry regulations.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project, including delays, product issues, or miscommunications with clients.
- Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation, including time logs, inventory records, and site condition reports.
- Provide regular updates to the Field Manager regarding the status of projects, budgets, and team performance.
- Conduct on-site inspections, identify hazards, and enforce safety standards across active projects.
- Delivering safety training to crews, covering PPE, emergency protocols, and hazard mitigation
Required qualifications
- Construction Experience
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in construction or flooring.
- Previous experience in the flooring industry, particularly with flooring installation or project management, is highly preferred.
Preferred qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret project specifications and blueprints
