Assistant Executive Housekeeper - TownePlace Suites Richmond
Introduction:
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for both cleaning and inspecting rooms on a weekly schedule. This role supports the Executive Housekeeper by ensuring all rooms meet high standards of cleanliness, organization, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively support and guide the housekeeping team.
Responsibilities:
- Room Cleaning (3 Days per Week):
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing supplies.
- Adhere to hotel standards for cleanliness, ensuring guest satisfaction and a welcoming environment.
- Report maintenance issues, broken items, or any room condition concerns to the appropriate department.
- Room Inspection (2 Days per Week):
- Conduct detailed inspections of rooms cleaned by other housekeepers to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to housekeepers to improve room quality and efficiency.
- Document inspection results and communicate any issues or areas for improvement to the Executive Housekeeper
- Assist in training and mentoring housekeeping staff to maintain high standards and improve efficiency.
- Monitor supply levels and assist in inventory control to ensure housekeeping staff have necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with the Executive Housekeeper on housekeeping schedules and any special cleaning projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
