Key Responsibilities

Clinical and Operational Leadership

  • Support the Director of Nursing in managing day-to-day clinical operations

  • Assist with staff supervision, scheduling, evaluations, and training initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, as well as state and federal regulations

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Participate in quality improvement programs and regulatory survey preparation

  • Lead or assist in the development and execution of corrective action plans

  • Promote clinical best practices and a culture of accountability

Resident Care Oversight

  • Monitor resident care through regular rounding and staff collaboration

  • Assist in care planning and clinical documentation review

  • Address resident or family concerns in a timely and professional manner

Staff Development and Support

  • Mentor new nursing staff and CNAs during onboarding

  • Encourage staff engagement, professional development, and strong communication across clinical teams

Qualifications
  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (LVNs with significant leadership experience may be considered)

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in long-term care

  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory nursing role preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of skilled nursing regulations and clinical standards

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
