Position Overview: We are seeking experienced and knowledgeable Assembly Mechanics / Truck Builders to join our team. The Assembly Mechanics / Truck Builders will be responsible for assembling components for Terberg Taylor's terminal trucks according to blueprint specifications.
Your Role
- Able to use all hand tools and power tools used in the assembly and manufacturing of heavy equipment.
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with manufacturing rules and operating procedures.
- Assembles components per work instructions and the instructions of the team leader.
- Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials.
- Cleans and maintains tools and equipment used in the work and keeps the work area clean.
- Collaborating with other team members to improve efficiency.
- Following instructions while taking initiative and not require continual supervision.
- Assist in cross functional work assignments as needed.
- Comply with company rules and safety practices.
- Mechanical ability with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements
- The ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Two or more years of experience assembling cars or trucks.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications or certifications are a plus.
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Steel Toe shoes required.
- Regular and reliable attendance; punctuality is essential.
