Architectural Designer

Working with our Development team, this position provides conceptual design, feasibility studies, project planning, and visualizations for exciting and impactful projects across a variety of typologies including luxury multifamily, class-A office, hotel, retail, and master planning. The successful candidate will bring a design focus and critical thinking to bear in solving complex sites and programs, while gaining experience and learning about the intersection between design and real estate development. This position is ideal for a junior designer who wants to grow and gain hands-on design experience, bringing meaningful projects to life both locally and nationally. The list of responsibilities below is representative of the range of activities the position will touch, but the successful candidate will be flexible and passionate about a wide range of ways to engage in the design and development process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare feasibility studies & design options for projects and scopes of various scales and types
• Develop exterior & interior renderings
• Produce presentation materials
• Conduct project-related design and planning research
• Plan & execute work as a reliable, integral member of the Development team
• Coordinate with consultants & general contractors
• Maintain project files and notes
• Be nimble to tackle special projects as they arise

 QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-3+ years of experience in an architecture firm
• Architectural Degree, preferably from a NAAB-accredited program
• 3d modeling and rendering skills to prepare high-quality visualizations
• Strong design skills - Experience with multifamily design is a plus
• Proficiency with design software (SketchUp, Rhino, CAD), Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
• Versatility and ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
• A team-player mindset
• Determination, dependability, and attention to detail
