Analyste financier sénior / Senior financial analyst
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for reconciling complex sections during monthly closings and preparing financial statements. The Senior Financial Analyst will also provide technical expertise to his colleagues during the SAP implementation, participating as a “Super-User”. The Senior Financial Analyst will work a hybrid schedule, from the Montreal office.
Task and responsibilities :
- Record adjustments entries for complex sections ;
- Document accounting processes in the new SAP ERP ;
- Provide support to the accounting team in case of doubt ;
- Lead future module implementations in SAP ;
- Prepare quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRS to provide accurate and timely information to partners ;
- Generate insightful variance analysis ;
- Identify and implement actions to improve processes ;
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that operations run efficiently ;
- Perform any other tasks related to the Senior Financial Analyst position that are essential for the project’s success.
Qualifications required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA designation is an asset ;
- At least five (5) years of professional experience related to the position ;
- Bilingual (French and English).
Technical skills
- Knowledge of control principles for different accounting cycles ;
- Experience with integrated ERP software preferred (ideally SAP S/4) ;
- Experience in preparing financial statements ;
- Be comfortable using advanced Excel formulas.
