Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supplier Management Specialist will be responsible for managing supplier information, systems, databases, templates, and business processes to ensure compliance with requirements across all contracts for all Gold Fields Windfall operations. Will be based in the Montreal office, working a 5-2 schedule.

Duties and responsibilities       

•Comply with occupational health and safety and environmental policies and rules at all times;

•Communicate with selected potential suppliers to obtain the necessary approvals for their integration and follow up on these approvals;

•Conduct supplier compliance checks to prevent potential risks;

•Participate in negotiating terms and conditions during the supplier integration process when necessary;

•Promote and ensure compliance with Gold Fields policies, procedures, and systems within your area of expertise;

•Ensure that supplier data is continuously updated and complies with GMW and SOX standards;

•File supplier documentation and electronic correspondence as needed;

•Ensure full compliance with local standards and Gold Fields policies by contributing to audits;

•Maintain constant communication with internal and external customers to gather contract information, produce reports, and share relevant information with stakeholders in a timely manner;

•Implement and coordinate Gold Fields' business process for designating external customers. Ensure coordination between on-site staff and external customers to ensure that up-to-date customer information is maintained in SAP with relevant notices;

•Develop strong interpersonal relationships within your own department and in other areas of the company, both internally and externally, to promote greater understanding and provide support and assistance to suppliers when needed in order to achieve strategic goals and objectives.

•Continuously demonstrate and reflect behaviors, actions, and attitudes that align with Gold Fields' vision, values, and code of ethics;

•Perform any other tasks related to the Supplier Management Specialist admin position that are relevant to the success of the project.


Qualifications required

•Hold a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, data science, or a related field;

•Have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the administration and management of contract and supplier data;

•Have experience in the mining industry.


Technical skills

•Bilingualism in English and French (will be required to communicate with English-speaking contractors and suppliers);

•Good knowledge of Office Suite software;

•Advanced level of Microsoft Office Word and Excel (an asset);

•Proficiency in the use of contract and document management systems;

•Knowledge of SAP ERP master data administration (an asset).
