POSITION SUMMARY
The Public Area Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining common areas, assisting room attendants, and ensuring a tidy and inviting atmosphere throughout the hotel. This role includes transporting linens, supporting guest requests, and completing assigned cleaning tasks to uphold the hotel’s standards of cleanliness and presentation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide a clean and safe environment for guests by maintaining assigned areas and equipment. • Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms, following hotel standards. • Perform deep cleaning of assigned areas as required. • Set up and maintain hotel lobby functions and clean meeting rooms. • Deliver service items to guest rooms upon request and assist with guest luggage when required. • Efficiently complete daily assignments, managing time and resources effectively. • Use supplies responsibly, reporting any shortages or maintenance issues to management. • Follow procedures for lost and found items and guest safety protocols. • Acknowledge and greet guests in public spaces, ensuring a friendly and welcoming demeanor. • Maintain awareness of guest requests and respond promptly to “Do Not Disturb” signs or linen changes. • Review daily inventory of supplies needed to complete tasks and assignments. • Perform similar duties as requested by the supervisor to support the housekeeping team.
QUALIFICATIONS • Must be able to frequently stand, move, and lift items up to 50 lbs, and push/pull up to 200 lbs. • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling are required for maintaining public areas. • Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and team members. • Basic reading and writing skills to complete checklists, replace linens, and handle guest requests. • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
