Alpine Guest Services Manager

Manning Park, British Columbia Seasonal $26.00-$30.00/hour

We are presently searching for our next great team member as an Alpine Guest Services (AGS) Manager to join our Alpine Guest Services team reporting to the Assistant General Manager. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we would like to hear from you. 
 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

* Train, mentor, and lead AGS Staff (including but not limited to AGS Agents, Snow School Instructors, AGS Supervisors, Shop technicians, and Snow School Supervisor) 

* Monitor and delegate tasks for rental, snow school, terrain park, ticket sales, & season pass sales 

* Create and implement strategies and initiatives to improve guest satisfaction and profitability while adhering to our mission and guiding values  

* Manage inventory and submit orders as required 

* Ensure high levels of customer service and respond to complex customer inquiries 

* Manage the flow of AGS to ensure high level end-to-end customer satisfaction  

* Train and mentor all team members 

* Create a positive team environment and motivate AGS Staff 

* Assist guests with products & services in-person, by phone, and by e-mail 

* Maintain a safe & clean environment, both inside and outside, for guests and colleagues at all times, including cleaning washrooms, cleaning floorsshoveling stairs and ramps, and keeping the Alpine Guest Services Building and other areas tidy 

* Assist with sales system issues and reports 

* Assist in the marketing, promotion, and sales of Manning Park Resort products (ski school, group bookings, season passes, and/or lift tickets) 

* Other tasks as required 

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

* At least 2 years of previous supervisory or management experience leading diverse teams in a client service environment 

* Previous experience working at a ski resort in at least one of the relevant functions for this role (Snow School, Rentals and Repair, Guest Services). Experience in all areas is preferred 

* Responsible and self-motivated individual able to assess and prioritize necessary duties. 

* Strong computer skills, including Excel, online sales platforms & POS. Experience with Accesso Paradox software is an asset. 

* Will be required to work weekends & holidays. 

* Good physical condition; Able to work outdoors, in adverse weather conditions, and perform manual labor 

 

This role requires a full seasonal commitment (September to April). Potential to transition into a year-round role based on performance and business needs.
