Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Aircraft Maintenance Planner to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for strategic oversight, coordination, and execution of maintenance planning activities for our Part 91 and Part 135 fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aviation maintenance planning, with a strong attention to detail and organization skills to support maintenance operations in a fast-paced aviation environment, ensuring the highest standards of regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and aircraft availability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Develop, manage, and oversee short- and long-term maintenance plans to ensure fleet airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
· Monitor and track scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events using approved maintenance tracking programs (e.g., FlightDocs/Veryon, CAMP, Traxall).
· Coordinate with internal departments—including Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Scheduling—to minimize operational disruptions while meeting business needs.
· Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and company policies by proactively planning and scheduling inspections, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
· Maintain and update records within enterprise systems such as Corridor, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of data for audits and regulatory reviews.
· Provide technical planning support and communicate upcoming maintenance requirements to leadership and maintenance teams in a timely manner.
· Anticipate potential operational impacts and develop contingency plans to reduce aircraft downtime.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· 5 years of experience in aviation. Corporate aircraft experience preferred.
o Prior experience in Part 91, 121, 135, and/or 145 environments.
Skills & Competencies:
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
· Solid understanding of FAA regulations, maintenance compliance standards, and aviation industry best practices.
· Working knowledge of enterprise-level maintenance systems (e.g., Corridor).
· Familiarity with aircraft systems, technical publications, and maintenance documentation.
· Experience managing mixed fleets, specifically Bombardier, Cessna, Dassault, Embraer, and Gulfstream aircraft.
· Proven experience with aircraft maintenance planning software (e.g., FlightDocs/Veryon, CAMP, Traxall) and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential challenges in fleet planning.
Certifications, Licenses, & Badging
- Ability to attain Love Field Badge
- Valid Driver's License
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to various weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to loud noise levels in and around their work environment. The physical demands regularly required are to sit for extended periods of time, squat, crawl, climb along with the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Daily interaction with vendors where tact and consideration are mandatory while maintaining a team effort in customer service. Business Jet is an IS-BAO Stage III Certified Operator with FAA Approved SMS/ASAP Programs.
