 Rapid Strategy is an award-winning, African-American-owned small business providing advanced cybersecurity and IT services to federal and commercial clients. Our mission is to deliver secure, high-impact solutions that support national objectives and operational resilience. We are currently seeking Senior User Experience (UX) Analysts to support an existing federal customer, contingent upon contract award. This role will guide user-centered research and design initiatives across digital platforms, ensuring that applications and services are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with end-user needs. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in user research, usability testing, and interface design, with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations that enhance the overall user experience.

Responsibilities

·        Plan, execute, and analyze user research activities such as surveys, interviews, and focus groups to gather insights on user behavior, needs, and pain points.

·        Present research findings, ideas, and design recommendations to product teams and stakeholders, always advocating for user needs and usability.

·        Develop information architecture (IA) strategies, interaction patterns, and user flows that support consistency, predictability, and ease of use.

·        Create and/or oversee the development of mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and interactive demos that reflect research insights and product goals.

·        Conduct or lead usability testing to validate designs and ensure functional alignment with user needs.

·        Apply accessibility fundamentals and ensure that all designs comply with federal accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG).

·        Support system and process design by participating in requirements analysis and aligning user needs with technical and business constraints.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, developers, and stakeholders to shape user-centric solutions.

·        Serve as a mentor or team lead for junior UX staff and guide product teams in UX best practices.

Required Qualifications

·        Minimum 10 years of experience in UX research, design, or analysis roles.

·        Strong understanding of user-centered design, usability principles, and the software development lifecycle.

·        Proven experience designing and executing user research plans, including both qualitative and quantitative methods.

·        Expertise in mockup and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch).

·        Deep understanding of requirements analysis principles and their application to digital service design.

·        Familiarity with federal accessibility guidelines and inclusive design principles.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience working in federal government environments or regulated industries.

·        Background in human-computer interaction (HCI), cognitive science, or related fields.

·        Experience with interactive prototyping, service design, and information architecture at scale.
