Job Summary: 

As the Afternoon (2nd shift) Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing production during the afternoon shift (3pm – 11pm). You will ensure that all printing processes are carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Your role involves supervising a team of operators, coordinating workflow, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of 2nd shift operators, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure that team members follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work with 1st shift supervisor to plan and coordinate the daily production schedule, assigning tasks to team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain high-quality standards by inspecting printed materials for defects and ensuring that they meet customer specifications.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of equipment, ensuring that it operates efficiently and safely.
  • Arrange for repairs or servicing when necessary.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, such as screen setup, ink consistency, and color matching.
  • Train team members on troubleshooting techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, materials usage, and equipment maintenance.
  • Generate reports on production efficiency, quality control, and any issues encountered.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in printing is a plus.
  • Proven experience in Screen printing, Embroidery or Heat Transfer, including knowledge of different printing techniques and equipment is an asset
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with computerized printing systems and software may be required.
