Administrator, Regulatory & Compliance Advisor – Skilled Nursing Facilities

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Administrator with a strong background in compliance and regulatory affairs. This unique position blends the leadership of one skilled nursing facility with a regional advisory role, serving as the regulatory and compliance resource for 10 facilities across the New York City area.


The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader in post-acute and long-term care, highly knowledgeable in CMS, NY State DOH, and survey requirements, and able to provide practical guidance to administrators, DONs, and executive teams across multiple sites.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the licensed Administrator of Record for one skilled nursing facility in NYC.
  • Act as the primary compliance and regulatory advisor for 10 facilities in the region.
  • Monitor updates from CMS, New York State survey agencies, and accrediting bodies; ensure timely implementation across all facilities.
  • Conduct internal audits and mock surveys to maintain survey readiness.
  • Support administrators and directors in creating and executing corrective action plans.
  • Mentor and educate facility leadership teams on regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Assist in driving quality improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.


Qualifications

  • Current New York State Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of CMS, New York State DOH, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated success leading facilities through surveys and inspections.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to advise peers and guide regional compliance strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
