The position involves a variety of responsibilities, including client interaction, project management, administrative tasks, social media updates, and community involvement. Detailed Responsibilities
  • Client Interaction: Meet or exceed client expectations, answer phones and greet clients, act according to KFG’s Core Values and Guiding Principles, and work as a team.
  • Project Management: Manage all aspects of projects and new tax clients, monitor due date lists, and process IRS correspondence.
  • Administrative Tasks: Process tax and payroll returns, scan tax source documents, request IRS transcripts, and maintain the client information.
  • Community Involvement: Participate in community involvement projects and employee tax season fun activities.
  • Social Media Updates: Client, non-client & vendor information updates, firm calendar updates, newsletters/mail outs, and maintaining Mail Chimp.
  • Office Supplies and Maintenance: Order and maintain all office stationery and supplies used to make the office function properly.
Education
  • Must have a High School Diploma with college degree desired.
Experience
  • Must have 1-3 years’ experience in working in a professional office, preferably a public accounting firm or related experience.
Skills and Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in processing tax and payroll returns.
  • Strong organization and efficiency skills.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Project a courteous, professional, and positive approach with clients and other employees, while providing prompt, efficient, and accurate assistance.
  • Maintain confidentiality pertaining to sensitive personnel or financial data/information.
  • Manage multiple priorities while working with deadlines and time constraints.
  • Understand, remember, follow, and exchange basic instructions, information, and guidelines.
  • Maintain regular, timely, and predictable attendance.

Physical Requirements
  • Constant use of fingers and hands when typing, handling pens/pencils, forms/paper, telephone, and operating a computer or other office machinery, such as a ten-key number pad or calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information through verbal communications in person or over the telephone.
  • Excellent near vision and visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate a computer or other office machinery.
  • Occasionally lift, transfer, push, or pull up to 15 lbs. of files, supply boxes, or other small office equipment.
Working Conditions
Majority of the work is performed in an office atmosphere located inside a building with no hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
