The individual’s primary purpose in this position is responsible for assisting the Administrator in the overall management of the facility which includes planning, developing, directing, monitoring and supporting all operational, administrative, and clinical, human resources, customer service and fiscal activities for the facility’s programs and services.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists with developing and implementing nursing department staffing schedules assuring adequate levels for optimal patient care on a 24-hour repeating schedule within the guidelines established by the Nursing Home Administrator.
- Coordinate and record staffing related "call offs", time off requests, and holidays to maintain proper staffing levels.
- Assists with all aspects of state or federal government survey processes.
- Provide general clerical support to the Nursing Home Administrator and the Human Resources Generalist.
- Maintain accurate tracking of all necessary Nursing staff licenses and certifications as well as any other documents required to ensure regulatory compliance with the Department of Health in SmartLinx.
- Assists with and takes part in administrative activities.
- Monitors overtime for patterns and misuse assuring procedures being followed for approval of overtime. Reports any inconsistencies to the Nursing Home Administrator.
- Coordinates interviews for the nursing department.
- Assist the Nursing Home Administrator with processing of timecards in regard to processing payroll.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources Department and assist with projects as assigned.
- Provide backup phone answering support to the receptionist.
- Attend in-service/educational programs in accordance with Company and regulatory requirements.
- Position responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime and evening or weekend hours to meet facility’s needs.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
- Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
- Meet general health requirements set forth by the policies of the Company, which may include a medical and physical examinations.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Human Resources Generalist, or the Administrator.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma Preferred.
- Prefer One (1) year of staff scheduling preferred.
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and Outlook
