To: Director of Penticton Operations and Director of ASK Works
Term: 12 (twelve) weeks starting ASAP. End date to be determined based
on starting date.
Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible times between Monday-Friday
8:30-4:30pm)

Work
Experience Stipend: $300/wk

The Administrative Assistant will provide essential support to program staff and management, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. This position is designed for individuals seeking valuable work experience, particularly those with barriers to employment, and is funded through the Work Experience Grant.
Duties
and Responsibilities:

General Administration: Provide clerical and
administrative support to team members, including data entry, filing, and
maintaining records.

Program Support: Assist with scheduling,
organizing meetings, and preparing materials for program activities.
·
Communication: Respond to phone and email
inquiries, and act as a liaison between clients, staff, and community partners.
·
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date
records, files, and statistics in accordance with organizational standards.
·
Event Coordination: Help organize and support
community events and workshops.
·
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other
staff and volunteers in a collaborative, team-based environment.
·
Other Duties: Perform additional administrative
tasks as required to support the mission and goals of ASK Wellness Society.
Qualifications and Requirements:
(Note: This is
a supported work experience position. Training and mentorship will be
provided.)

High school diploma or equivalent helpful but
not required. Additional administrative or office training is an asset.
·
This position is ideal for those seeking to gain
work experience.
·
Organizational, communication, and interpersonal
skills an asset. Likes to work independently and as part of a team.
·
Basic computer skills, including familiarity
with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) an asset.
·
Ability to implement effective crisis management
techniques an asset.
·
Knowledge of community services an asset and the
ability to work cooperatively with partner agencies.
·
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel an
asset or willingness to learn.
·
Ability to work independently and within a team
environment.
·
Understands and maintains clientele/peer/worker
boundaries.
·
Respectful workplace and occupational health and
safety training provided.
·
Must pass an acceptable criminal record check.
·
As Program Participants are allowed to have
pets, it is noted that this is a pet-friendly environment.
