Activity Facilitator

Role

As an Activity Facilitator, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth execution of birthdays and events, with a focus on assisting with set-up, overseeing guest activities, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This role involves coordination, organization, and a high level of customer service.



Position Availability: Part-Time

Friday: 5:00pm-10:00pm (Times shown are the hours which an activity/event could be held depending on the package) – Shift will vary per booking

Saturday: 8:00am- 9:00pm (Times shown are the hours which an activity/event could be held depending on the package) – Shift will vary per booking

Sunday: 9:00am- 9:00pm (Times shown are the hours which an activity/event could be held depending on the package) – Shift will vary per booking

Professional Development Days – 8 hour shift as needed

Statutory holidays – 8 hours shift as needed


Reports to: School & Camps Manager


Key Responsibilities:


Set-Up and Pre-Event Preparation:

Collaborate with fitness staff to set up the event space, ensuring it is organized and ready for guest arrival.

Verify that all equipment, decorations, and amenities are in place according to the event plan.

You may have to Guide External balloon decorators and accept internal Catering Orders

Assist with room layout and arrangement to meet the specific needs of each event


Guest Arrival 

Welcome guests upon arrival and provide a brief orientation, highlighting event activities and safety guidelines.

Ensure guests are aware of the clean-up procedure and go over the checklist with them.


Clean-Up Oversight:

Supervise and assist guests in adhering to the clean-up procedure at the conclusion of the event. Reach out to housekeeping on the radio once event has been tidied to tend to the floors.

Confirm that the event space is returned to its original condition and immediately report any damages or issues to the Events Coordinator including evidence as required. Radio any additional departments of the completion of the event if necessary.


Administration:

Conduct a thorough inspection of the event space before and after each event to assess potential damages. Report to the Events Coordinator any damages or evidence of damage.

Recognize and complete incident reporting

Maintain and complete electronic health and safety checklists


Bouncy Castle Activities:

Host events involving bouncy castles, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.

Oversee the sanitization process of the bouncy castle, adhering to hygiene standards.

Monitor and enforce safety rules and guidelines during bouncy castle activities.

Ensure that safety protocols, especially regarding bouncy castle usage, are strictly followed.

Monitor and enforce limits on the number of participants in the bouncy castle and other activities.


Birthday Events:

Coordinate and host birthday events in outdoor settings, such as parks.

Organize and lead activities and lawn games for guests.

Facilitate play lab activities, ensuring a fun and engaging experience.


Classroom

Host will engage guest(s) upon arrival and orient the guest(s) to the nearby environment and facilities.

Host will ensure all cabinets and storage room door in classroom are locked.

Host will ensure accessible doors are activated.

Host will ensure the birthday cart is available and accessible to the guests.

Sanitize all tables, chairs, and key entry points.

Indoor Park Facilitation

Collecting and documenting insights and data into the indoor park to ensure safe play amongst families and participants

Engaging children in structured and unstructured play using resources, equipment, and materials available.

Educating and supporting children to participant in a manner that is appropriate and fun while allowing children to reach their potential.


 Entertainment and Engagement

Host and engage guests in entertaining activities throughout the event.

Ensure that all participants are involved and having a positive experience.

Host will check in with Guest(s) every 20-30 minutes during the party package time and will let the Guest(s) know how to reach out if needed

Offsite Community Events

Organize, set up, engage and take down activity at offsite location.

 

Qualifications

Current Standard First Aid/CPR/AED certification

Must be minimum 16 years of age

Must have a recent clear Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Search
