Position Summary

The Driver is responsible for safely transporting residents to and from scheduled activities, appointments, and community events. This role ensures reliable, timely, and courteous service while supporting the overall mission of promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely transportation for residents to activities, outings, and appointments.
• Conduct safety checks of vehicles before each trip and maintain accurate mileage and attendance records.
• Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles inside and out.
• Report repair needs, malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly to the Lead Driver and Director.
• Assist with event/activity setup and support residents in participating fully in programs.
• Communicate schedules and transportation details clearly to residents and staff.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to connect residents with community events and volunteer opportunities.
• Foster positive relationships with residents by offering courteous, respectful, and attentive service.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with adult seniors.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and dependable.
• Flexible scheduling availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license and/or Chauffeur’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to interpret and follow map directions.
• Certification fees covered by Christwood.
