Role:


Assists in the creation, planning and implementation of the Connections program - the daily activities for our residents. You will ensure the maximum levels of resident leisure contentment, as well as physical, mental, and psychological well being.


Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of the Connections activity program for the community.

Assist in the planning and posting of a monthly calendar of events, monthly newsletter and coordination of special events and programs.

Assist in arranging and at times render transportation for the residents.

Works closely with Wellness Associates for the implementation of Connections activity programs.


Requirements:

High School Diploma, a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or other related field (Preferred)

Previous experience in healthcare or service related setting (Preferred)

Must be at least 16 years old with a valid state driver's license (Required)

Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.

Juniper Village at the Spearly Center is a skilled nursing facility specializing in mental and behavioral health so besides the typical alzheimers/dementia diagnosis, we cater to residents with schizophrenia, bipolar, TBI, failed suicide attempts, and more. We are looking for those who care and value and able to assist are residents in need.
