Activities Assistant

Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Activities Assistant. This position offers competitive pay and an excellent benefits package.

Under the direction of the Activity Director, the Activities Assistant will assist in carrying out a planned activity program for residents. Maintains records, and transports residents to and from activities. Performs varied clerical and departmental maintenance functions.

Duties:

• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific development factors specific to adult and geriatric residents(i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors in directing the overall operations of the facility's delivery of care.
• Attends all mandatory in-services that are required by the employee's anniversary date.
• Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in the unit/shift assignments to meet.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
• Meets health assessment requirements, including a two-stage Mantoux skin test.
• Capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the task required.

Qualifications

Education/Training: Must possess a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license.
