Commercial Lines Account Specialist

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Account Specialist in our Commercial Lines Department at Tedford Insurance.  

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Account Specialist will ensure the efficient management of insurance accounts, both for new business and renewals.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, coworkers, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations.
* Reviewing accounts for necessary coverages, working closely with Agents to develop renewal and new business plans, managing timelines and providing accurate proposals and billing services.
* Confirming accuracy of files and supporting various other departments in their respective tasks.
* Respond to client requests for information, documents, and general insurance related inquiries.
* Performs other related duties as assigned which may be necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, AMS and/or related software.
* Proficient in typing and data entry.
* Manage workflow efficiently and set priorities to ensure accurate and timely processing of all transactions.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision to deliver high-quality results.

EDUCATION, LICENSES AND EXPERIENCE:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum of five years experience of Commercial Lines Account Management experience
* Must have a valid Oklahoma Property & Casualty Insurance license.
* Required to have one of the following certifications:

• Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR)
• Certified Insurance Service Representative- Elite (CISR-Elite)
• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
